1. How to make a drop down or add alphabets in excel while dragging down

Step 1: Select the Menu icon on the top left corner and choose the circled Excel Option


 Step 2: Choose the highlighted option
 



Step 3: Type "A,B,C,D,....... Z" in the left side of the "List Entries" and then click the "Add" button

Step 4: The output is...






 
2. While inserting comment in Excel / Power point / Word, by default it adds the name / emp no. of the person during registration. How to change it ?? 

In the below given example To change the user name from Ranjith









Step 2: Select the Menu icon on the top left corner and choose the circled Excel Option


















Step 3: Change the highlighted name name from Ranjit to, as you wish...




 











3. To count the no. of words in excel, we can use =count( ), =counta( ). To count the no. of words, lines, paragraphs, character with/without space in a word file













4. To add a transparent background text / image (Watermark) in a word file













5. How to create a password to Protect your Excel sheet and File.

  To protect a sheet, Open an excel file, Go to Tools -> Protection ->and type the password to
   enable it
 











To protect an Excel file. Open an excel file, Go to File -> Save as -> Tools ->General options and create a password

      












6. How to view unread messages in Outlook 2010

 Choose View -> Change View-> Manage Views









Choose the option New



Name it "Unread" and ensure Table is selected. Also ensure All Mails and Post folders is selected. Click Ok










Click the Filter box











Go to More Choices and check Only Items that are: Unread











Click Ok thrice… and you will be back to the main Outlook Window
Now, you will get one more option for Unread mails in your Views
